As others stated, battery is dead on arrival. Unable to hold charge. I followed instructions to plug into laptop - waited until solid green bar for battery showed on the device over multiple seconds. I unplugged the mp3 player, and it immediately said "low battery" and shut off. Pressing the power button did not turn it on. Only plugging it into the laptop brings it to life. The product paperwork says the year 2012.. so, the battery likely lost its ability to hold charge somewhere between 0 and 13 years ago.

A gift for a young grandson. He liked it and tells me it works well. It is an attractive unit and a good starter piece.

I ordered one AND a replacement and both MP3 players would NOT take a charge. I left them plugged in overnight and when I disconnected them from my PC, they both went dead and would not turn on after. I think they've been sitting on the inventory shelf so long, that the batteries have expired from not being recharged. I would NOT buy these a THIRD time, nor should you buy them once.

Just as explained simple MP3 Player. I found it a bit unresponsive unless you pushed on icons a little harder.

This product is 8 years old. Second time I purchased it, the first time it didn't charge, so I returned it for another one. The second one didn't charge up either. So I looked at the packaging - copywrite 2012 - 8 YEARS OLD. No wonder the battery didn't charge, it's dead as a doornail. What a joke that Amazon would allow its sellers to send out items this old!!!

I wasn't able to use the item for anything. It wouldn't even charge all the way (it kept cutting off) and when I tried to turn the item on it wouldn't stay on. It kept turning off by itself. I would have returned it but I had to destroy the packaging just to open it, and I wanted to use an amazon go location, but I don't have the internet on my phone so whatever code is needed to open the door to the place, I couldn't get it because I don't have the amazon app on my phone. The other way to return ups would end up costing almost as much as I paid for the item so heed my words and do not buy this item!!!!!!!!!!

I got this mp3 player for my mother. She's had it for a month. Here are some specs followed by my opinions. Battery Life: 4-6 without large amount of radio use. 3-5 with moderate to heavy radio use. About 2.5 by 1.5 inches by .25 inches Touchscreen: Good if you press hard. No SD card slot.(unfortunately) Sound: Fairly good. This is a perfectly fine mp3 player if you don't need it for anything but radio and music. The screen is small so it is pretty much worthless for watching videos and viewing pictures and text.

There’s definitely a batch of defective units - as others have mentioned the battery doesn’t hold a charge. Kind of useless unless you want to carry an extra portable charger to keep it powered up.

excelent seller, but item not worth it (not the sellers Fault) item barely works most of the time, sometime it dont power on an act weird, its hard to use the provide software that wants you to sign up, item is trash, but seller is magnificient and awesome. dont buy this

Will not operate without power cord. Battery power and life insufficient to operate.

J'en ai acheté un, l'ai branché à mon ordinateur tel que demandé dans le mode d'emploi, il ne chargeait pas, je l'ai retourné et demandé un deuxième. Le deuxième ne charge pas non plus même après 8 hrs de branchement. Je l'ai ensuite branché à une barre multi prise et un haut parleur. Il fonctionne ainsi avec un très bon son. Mais aussitôt débranché, la batterie est vide. Déçue.

je suis incapable de charger la batterie, je vais probablement le retourner pour credit, pas de service chez COBY
