The Pierces have put together a very polished work of art to the highest standard, and built it around strong melodies.I won't go on about how good The Pierces are - Just buy it - you will love it!

I had heard a couple of the tracks from Creation as they had previously been released for radio but knew nothing more about The Pierces.WOW!! This has to be one of the best albums I have ever purchased in over 50 years.Reminders of Fleetwood Mac in their prime with other wonderful influences.There is not a poor track in this collection, the lyrics are clever, the harmonies just amazing.For me, a wonderful, wonderful addition to my music collection.

I really like this album. It's a bit middle of the road but some of the tracks are really well laid out, sonically and lyrically. The harmonies are good with the first few tracks being hauntingly melodious (pretentious moi?) but I haven't taken this album off the car playlist and I am often reaching for my laptop to play it.

Worst ever disco-mix totally overwhelming the possibly good texts from The Pierces. I say possibly good texts because I couln't stand listening to this, and the echo or room sound put into the "Music" mix is so horrible that the text totally drowns in it... My feeling is that someone should be sacked for this.

I love this CD by the Creations. There isn't one song that I don't like, these girls have beautiful angelic voices. I listen to it over and over and never get bored.

This is the first Pierces album I have listened to, although frequently hear them on the radio. Every song is well sung and harmonised. I just want to play it over and over. Well done girls.

This is their most recent album and is the follow up to 'You & I'. Although this album isn't as catchy as 'You & I' and their aren't any obvious singles on it. As a whole I prefer it and it is a better collection of songs. As always the girls provide great harmonies and lyrics.

Non fatevi fuorviare dall'immagine di copertina ma questo album, il quinto del duo originario di Birmingham in Alabama, è saldamente ancorato alla migliore tradizione del cantautorato americano del passato, ad esempio quello più classico di Simon & Garfunkel (e direi che non manca neppure un legame con Crosby, Still & Nash) che Allison e Catherine hanno richiamato fortemente alla mia memoria man mano che i bani passavano. Nessun rischio però di avere una minestra riscaldata, perché le sorelle Pierce sono riuscite ad attualizzare (forse è il senso di quella copertina dalle forme geometriche che, almeno, in apparenza non sembra aver nulla a che fare col contenuto se non per l'immagine delle due protagoniste) quella gloriosa tradizione come meglio non potevano, meritandosi appieno l'associazione con gli illustri predecessori citati nel testo. Per chi ama quel mondo un disco da non perdere assolutamente...

Die Stimmen dieser zwei hübschen Sängerinnen, gehen einem einfach nicht mehr aus dem Kopf, wenn man sie einmal gehört hat !!!Vor allem seit dem Album "You & I" ist die Massentauglichkeit der Musik dieser zwei Schwestern drastisch gestiegen, da ihre super eingängigen Melodien sofort ins Ohr gehen und Erinnerungen an "The Mamas and the Papas" kommen nicht von ungefähr.Ihre Musik wirkt wie bestens bekannte Hits, welche aber trotzdem neu sind.Sie sind Sängerinnen, die genau um die Stärke ihrer Stimmen wissen und wie diese einzusetzen sind - absolute Profis !Hoffentlich kommt es eines Tages zur einer CD Compilation ihrer fantastischen Coverversionen (Youtube), anderer Interpreten und Klassiker, weil die Pierces mit ihrem Stil, nahezu jedem Lied einen ganz bestimmten Zauber verleihen, der oft im Original nicht zu finden ist.The Pierces - ein absolutes "Must Have" ! ! !

Als Fan von Pop - Musik hat man es nicht leicht.Selten finde ich auf Silberlingen dieser Zunft ein bis zwei Songs, die mir gefallen und somit bleiben.Hin und wieder findet man in der Masse auch Song - Zusammenstellungen wie diese hier.Aus meiner Sicht gleich mehrere gute, eingängige und auch zeitlos schöne Songs.Für mich bis dato das beste Album von den beiden Schwestern aus Texas.Wer diese Musik mag, wir mit diesem Album mehr als zufrieden sein!

S'il y a des Américaines qui n'ont, en matière de pop millésimée, aucune leçon à recevoir de l'Angleterre, ce sont bien des deux sœurs Catherine et Allison PIERCE. Ces deux californiennes sont, d'abord, passées par Nashville, la Mecque de la country-music, pour deux albums restés malheureusement confidentiels. En 2007, la formule est devenue magique via nombre de séries TV qui ont emprunté des titres de leur troisième albums. Un disque qui n'avait plus rien de country mais qui proposait des vignettes pop inouïes. L'album suivant, une pure merveille, a été consacré en Angleterre. Voilà donc le cinquième album en quinze ans. Autant le dire d'emblée, c'est un sacré disque pop... De cette pop légère et savante qui, ce me semble, aura du mal à s'imposer aujourd'hui aux États-Unis tant elle est connotée par un savoir-faire britannique. Et pourtant, il y a de sacrés effluves "flower power" dans cette musique luxueuse qui n'a pas coupé le cordon ombilical d'avec ses références américaines tout en portant, et de plus en plus, le regard vers une certaine perfection pop suédoise bien comprise.Il y aura bien quelques connaisseurs qui feront les fines-gueules en disputant sur l'évolution musicale du groupe. Il est vrai que le troisième album, 'Thirteen Tales of Love and Revenge' (2007), est un chef-d'œuvre qui passe pour le meilleur de ce duo sororal, quoiqu'il soit le disque le moins évident de prime abord. Cependant, si l'on a aimé l'autre chef-d'œuvre qui s'est ensuivi, 'You & I' (2011), l'on ne sera aucunement désorienté avec ce 'Creation'. Dès la première écoute, l'oreille repère de ces titres ensorcelants dont on sait qu'ils vont vous coller à l'âme pendant un moment. Au surplus, l'on ne peut faire aucune réserve sur la qualité des harmonies vocales.

Elles sont superbes....ces pop songs composées par 2 sœurs qui chantent divinement bien ensemble .Le premier titre qui m'a "cueilli" est You'll be mine sur l'album précédent avec des ballades comme We are stars et The good samaritan (à voir sur le net ...goose bumps). L'alchimie est totale entre Catherine et Allison, elles composent séparément et c'est comme si on avait un best-of sur chaque CD .You & I me semble plus orienté folk-pop ,Creation est de la pure pop , toujours avec des bases hyper mélodiques et une production subtilequi met en valeur un incroyable harmonie vocale qui n'est jamais démonstrative . Un peu comme si on avait le duo magique Sharon Den Adel & Anneke du live Black Symphony sur tous les titres !On est plus dans l'ambiance pop feutrée jazz club que méga festivals .Tempos plus lents avec" Must be something ou Confidence in love" qui filent le frisson . Si le temps est gris ou pluvieux, écoutez You & I et Creation , vous verrez , il y aura du soleil et du ciel bleu dans votre salon .

à priori pas vraiment le genre de music qui aurait pu me brancher...je suis plutôt ramones, pearl jam, guns et autres métalleries du même genre mais depuis que j'ai discovert les sœurs pierce en 2011 je ne l'xplique pas, ça tourne en boucle sur la platine du salon. L'album YOU AND I ma vraiment fait du mal : c'est simple, très bien produit et arrangé, c'est freshy, catchy, popy, cocky,...okay okay ça empeste le ABBA, ça sonne aussi un peu 70's ...who cares? je vous rappelle qu'il n'y a que 7 notes de musique...faisez en des chansons vous... j'appréhendais un peu le nouvel album en me disant qu'il était impossible de faire mieux. je me suis bien fait kick-asser : c'est les voisins qui sont pas contents car je l'écoute pratiquement tous les jours et pas avec le volume à 10....à11!!!! en espérant que cet opus rencontre un succès plus important que les précédents et incite leur maison de disque à rééditer leurs anciens albums notamment LIGHT OF THE MOON pas franchement trouvable en CD's Store

Ich liebe The Pierces, aber das Album hat mich sehr enttäuscht, da es einfach überproduziert ist. Wenn ich mir dagegen Live-Versionen auf Youtube anhöre, kommen ihre Stimmen so toll zur Geltung und man sieht wie toll und talentiert sie sind. Ich habe mich geärgert, dass ich das Album gekauft habe. Schlecht ist es nicht, aber ich finde in diesem Fall wäre weniger etwas mehr. Es ist so sehr auf Pop gemacht, wobei ich einfach das Akustische und Authentische gerade bei diesen beiden als so viel besser empfinde, weil sie einfach so gut sind.Trotz allem sehr gute Texte und Songs und ich finde die Message des Albums sehr schön!!

I just love this band, and I am so happy for all of their success. "You & I" was a masterwork, and this is a great follow-up. "Creation" is not as immediate as its predecessor, but it reveals itself beautifully after just 2 or 3 listens to the songs. "Must be something" grabbed me on first listen and I must listened to this song a dozen times before moving to the next track. And, now I am completely hooked by "Come Alive" - what an incredible chorus!Pierces fans have long been saying that Allison and Catherine should be universally recognized for the incredible singer songwriters that they are. And, it is true! The Pierces are a great band, and their vocals are amazing. So, get onto Amazon.UK, book a flight or start swimming if you have to, but get this cd in your hands! The real deal awaits you.

Isn't it amazing that The Pierces are not stars in the U.S.?!? [Has this CD even been issued in the States?] The first two cuts [Creation/Kings] are catchy & seemingly hit material, but Monsters is even better, and Must Be Something is simply terrific! Even on those cuts which sound somewhat like other artists (e.g. Abba), the Pierces give the songs their unique touches. I think this is their best effort yet. Consistent from top to bottom, with a variety of styles---all woven together with their magical harmonies. I can't recommend this highly enough.
