Hotpoint Genuine Tumble Dryer Riveted Bearing Drum Shaft Repair Kit for Hotpoint TVM570P, TVM572G & TVM572P Models

This kit arrived as advertised, was easy to fit with a video. I really should have peeked in the dryer before ordering because now I need to wait for a new belt as it turned out the belt snapped when the drum dropped. The nuts and bolts definitely required 2 people (1 each side of the drum and the nuts were abit tough to get on the bolts properly. Also the insides of the frame are SHARP... like blades kind of sharp! On the bright side I still have fingers.

The item arrived as described. I wasn’t sure if I’d just need the part in the picture or the rest as well so ordered the full kit. I only needed the part in the picture but that extra pin came in useful. Obviously changing tumble dryer pieces isn’t the highlight of my life but it was pretty straightforward. And quick. My tumble dryer runs without squealing once again. I was honestly surprised at just how worn the old piece was considering it only started making that sound the other day. Easy enough for any relatively abled-bodied person to do. Wouldn’t recommend if you have carpal tunnel syndrome or are without the use of both your hands.

This kit enabled me to replace the worn shaft fitted from manufacture from new after a squealing noise. I’d tried to bodge the job by replacing the bearing which lasted about 3 months. You need to replace both and this kit allows you to drill the pop rivets from the original and replace this with supplied bolts and friction nuts. Easy job and tumble dryer is working great again.

There are two models of rear bearing drum shaft and going on product numbers l ordered this but when stripped it became apparent l needed the other. Amazon affected the refund and processed the new order rapidly. This was fitted within 30 minutes along with the bronze type bush and the tumbler was up and running again for about £17.

spot on, and thank you for putting all those makes and models on product description, it was a big help as I did not see similar product with the same description, it did fit my tumble dryer, and also came with 6 screws and bolts for the flange as some only supply your with 3, but 6 needs, the only minor thing is the tear drop did come with collar nor the screw, so I was lucky as I had the old one still intact. otherwise I would of giving it full stars

Guess I was unlucky. The baring kit should include 6 x nuts and bolts, (I received 2 different length bolts too). My delivered kit didn’t, as per my photo. Luckily I could source my own replacements, after I spent some time last night trying and failing to arrange a replacement. Due to time constraints, I just had to get on with the repair. It’s a pain that the replacement parts process is managed by HotPoint and not Amazon. Hot points online chat facility is awful to navigate. I gave up on the 3rd attempt. The kit itself, the parts that were delivered, seem ok and fairly robust. I’d suggest if ordered again, that a full brush repair kit is ordered at the same time. The machine needs to be disassembled to the point that it makes sense to replace it all at the same time.

So the picture is not what actually arrived, but what arrived was what I ordered!!!!! Happy wife and kids now as their clothes are nice and dry!! It’s not the easiest task to fit, needs 2 people unless you’re taking the machine completely to bits!

La verdad es me recibí todo en buen estado pero el eje venía un bastante rallado y no parecía que fuera nuevo. Tambien las tuercas parecen que no están homologadas, nose como decirlo pero las tuercas parecen estar cortadas con una radial, no es coña, las cuatro tuercas asi. Por no decir que que me lo trajeron el último día del plazo.

pièce d'origine livré avec notice, seul truc non noté c'est de récupérer la vis du palier car non fournie et bien remettre la goupille a la fin. par contre assez compliqué de démonter l'arrière du sèche linge, au final j'ai seulement enlevé le dessus et le boitier avec la résistance arrière pour accéder aux vis (seulement 1 à la fois par contre), il vaut mieux être deux pour fixer les boulons et écrous .

Bon produit (qui à l'air solide) mais renvoie de l'objet qui ne convenait pas à ma machine.
