Lettuce stays crispy and fresh for 5-6 days!
Love this Vejibag! We get farm fresh fruit and vegetables delivered by our local produce delivery. I was looking for a way to store vegetables, especially the hydroponic romaine, green leaf and red leaf lettuces that always tend to wilt before next weeks delivery. This bag work very well. Lettuces stay fresh and crispy as the day they were delivered for up to 5-6 days! Perfect for my weekly delivery. I purchased the medium at first which held about 2 lettuces. After seeing how well they performed I went back and purchased this large one so that I can hold 3 lettuces and use the other size for carrots and such. A little pricey, but it is well made, nice material, I don’t foresee me buying another anytime soon so they should last, and perform their function very well. No more throwing away spoiled food!

Fabulous - Really Works
I read about this product in New York Magazine's "Strategist" section which trolls the Internet for you to find the best products. In this case, the Strategist was on the mark. I had pretty much given up on buying vegetables because they would wilt within one day, two days maximum in my refrigerator. It's an old refrigerator and I often wondered whether if I bought an expensive new refrigerator my vegetables would last longer. But otherwise the refrigerator works fine and, as such, I was reluctant to replace it. Turns out no new refrigerator needed. Nine days ago I bought some parsley and put it in the long Vejibag. Just took some out for soup and it was fresh, still bright green and not wilted 9 days later! The ability to keep fresh herbs without daily marketing and food waste is going to open up a bunch of new culinary horizons for me. You use this product by wetting it, wringing the water out and then putting your vegetables inside. During the last 9 days, I refreshed the bag once -- i.e., rewet it, wrung it out again and then put it back in the fridge. Will definitely be buying this product in the other two sizes as well. I'm a happy camper.

Vejibag works better than any other Vegetable Keeper!
Ok Folks, This bag really works! I only buy Organic vegetables and they are very expensive and if you ever purchase any prepackaged salad you know it never lasts as long as the 'use-by' date. The Vejibag has kept Romaine lettuce leaves in a beautiful bright, dark green and crispy condition for 3+ weeks and even kept prepackaged lettuces in good condition past their 'use by date'. It seems I have purchased every contraption known to man to try to keep these vegetables fresh for more than a couple of days. None have ever worked as well as the Vejibag! None of the other Vegetable keepers I own even come close to this, this includes the much more expensive ones. It does require that you check it now and then to make sure the refrigerator air has not dried the bag out but hey, that's no big deal and well worth effort to not have to throw away those expensive veges and make a run to the store to spend more of my hard earned cash.

Keeps romaine crispy
Love the bag at first because of the great job it did keeping my romaine crisp. But I realized, I have to launder the bag after use instead of just popping a container into the dishwasher.

these are the best for keeping leafy veggies fresh
I’ve been using Vejibags for several years so I’m spoiled. Wash the veggies, put in bag then dampen bag. Because they’re cotton, like a thin towel, they’re not transparent it is t hard to feel what’s inside. I use for leafy greens like cabbage, lettuce or spinach. (Foods like bell peppers or zucchini that don’t like to be always damp I store in green bags.) Even if I don’t use all the produce for a week or more (lettuce for instance) most, if not all, whatever’s left in the bag is surprisingly still crispy fresh. My biggest problem with these bags is I seem to always want another one (I have four), for something I brought home that I don’t always have on hand. They wash & dry easily. If I ever need to replace one, I just hope I can still find them because other, similar bags just don’t work so good, for me.

Crisp vegetables...save me some money!
I can't stand constantly throwing money away on vegetables. It seems you put them in the fridge and 2 days later they're a wilted mess. This appears to be a remedy to the problem. While at $19 it might seem a bit much to pay for a cotton bag, throw away a $4 head of red leaf lettuce a few times and you will have dumped that much money in the trash or mulch pile. If that doesn't convince you then knowing that the bag is well made and material is plush and high quality might help. As far as use, just dampen the bag, bring home your veggies, wash them and stuff 'em in. We bought the VejiBig bag and I'm glad I didn't go any smaller and am wishing for more room. To give you an idea of what one will hold I break down a head and a half of red leaf lettuce, a couple of packages of celery hearts, some cilantro, 2 or 3 medium heads of broccoli and it is stuffed full. One thing I make sure to do is rotate the veggies as I bring fresh ones home. I also just run the whole thing under the sprayer on my faucet every couple of days to dampen it. I don't bother pulling the vegetables out. This is just enough to keep the bag damp. Seems to work well. I've only had it for a few weeks and we usually consume the veggies within a week. However, the cilantro has been in the bag for over 2 weeks and it looks as fresh as the day I put it in there. Everything I pull out is fresh and crisp. I love it. Two pieces of advice. Keep the bag damp and don't mix vegetables where the aromas might bother you. I ate a piece of celery that had a lingering taste of cilantro...not bad actually. :) However I do think I'll buy a smaller VejiBag for herbs.

Kale lasting 1 month - so far!
This bag really works. I got the large, which for me holds1 bunch of lucino kale and 1 head of romaine. Would recommend buying larger vs smaller. The kale has been in there 4 weeks and looks like I just bought it. Romaine turns brown in the ribs still, but much slower than without it. I haven't tried any other vegs I mainly hoped it worked for the kale which I use for smoothies and was throwing out all the time. Highly recommend. And its organic cotton and made in the USA!
