Excellent for walking in chicken pen! Durable and long lasting, I liked them so much I bought them again after 2 1/2 years of daily use. We keep these on the porch, as the small tread does collect small amounts of grime. So I don't recommend going from muck to house without at least hosing them off. You might want to have a boot scrubby brush for quick cleaning. These do have a flimsy removable insole. Two complaints.......these are too thin to use to push a shovel into the dirt or try to push a pronged portable fence (Premier) post into the ground. It's a little uncomfortable walking on a bed of gravel. These are not walking shoes, there is no support. However, I have problem feet and these are comfy for hours of basic yard work. Some of my tennis shoes with support I can't say are comfortable for hours of wear in the yard. Some if you are working in dirt or mud these are good. I would not say these are appropriate for snow. The grip is shallow and material is neoprene which I would not think to be helpful with cold. The shoe is mostly waterproof while wearing. Just don't leave them in the rain. Water on the inside wears damp. But it can handle rain and a hose from the outside very well. After daily use my husband had to replace his shoe after 2 1/2 years. The point of failure was a little bit of stretch and tearing at the tab that you hold your pull the shoe on. However he could have worn them for much longer without them losing function. Mine have a slight stretch around the ankle but it is just as comfortable as when I first wore them. Also, my feet are wide. The shoes are very comfortable but I can't wear socks, there isn't enough room. My husband has average width and he likes to wear socks with them. Super quick to put on and take off to do work in the yard or in the chicken pen. These fit well and are thoughtful in design.

Used for all yard maintenance and gardening chores that involve damp, muddy, & dirty conditions. They are effective and comfortable. I am happy that I am not ruining other more dressy shoes as I have in the past. Only complaint is insoles are not fixed. But, that is a minor inconvenience.

I purchased a pair of these TENGTA unisex waterproof boots for myself a while back and these ankle rain boots are very nice, comfortable and very well made!! I was able to walk in the snow and on the ice without my feet getting cold or slipping, mind you I was wearing thick socks, but in any case it worked for me. I recently ordered a pair of these for one of my grandkids but they were too small so I'll probably reorder in the future. Thank you 😊
